Niche Websites Must Blog
I have come to the conclusion that every niche site must have a Blog. The incredible success of blogging leads to this conclusion, coupled with the fact that niche sites need all the help they can get, unless they are a nationally recognized corporate name.
The Blog allows the website publisher to update the site in a different way, via the blog. Static pages on the web lose their search engine rankings over time, and the blog will help.
I produce a niche site called the Women's Natural Health Center, so to compliment that rather successful site I have added a new Blog called Women's Health Nutraceutical Information. There I can produce articles concerning the products I offer for sale on the Women's Health site, and I can point the sites to each other. Also, I will link the blog to many blogger directories within the appropriate category.
My main website is linked to this blog you are reading, and I can tell you this fact: It leads visitors to the main site every day from it's own listings in the search engines, and visa versa. The blog serves 2 major purposes: 1st, it allows new content without constantly updating the main site, and 2nd, the blog serves as a separate and acceptable linking platform far better than any links page or links directory could ever be.
I produce a Sports site called NetSports Pro Interactive which is a blend of pro sports and some humor pages linked to it. I have a blog there called the Denver Bronco Fan Blog which is more active in Football season than now, but it gets a lot of traffic during the season, and it sends more traffic to my sports site than my sports site sends to it. Remarkable? Not at all!
If you are a marketer online, and you are currently trying to get link popularity with links software or a links directory of some kind, I highly recommend that you immediately build a new BLOG for that site and start producing articles on it and building links to it on the template. If your blog does not allow template access, get a new blog. A great source for blogs with template access is www.blogger.com. These blogs index fast, and all the search engines are willing and anxious to index blogs now days.
Write articles about what you know, and if you discover that you are so new in the field of your niche site that you don't know enough to write, simply ask others to write articles for you. Most affiliate marketers and internet marketers are more than happy to allow you to reproduce their articles if you give them credit and include a link in the article to their site.
In conclusion, if you don't have a blog, GET ONE!
