Affiliate Sales Making Me Crazy - Niche Sales off Season
I wonder why I am selling wakeboards right now when snowboarding season is getting underway. Funny and unpredictable market this year for sure. I am suddenly seeing traffic to my niche stores that I usually get and expect in the mid-summer. Of course I am also getting the snowboarding and winter sports traffic, but the sales are summer stuff. What a world we live in!
I have been updating the winter sports stores and blogs, while leaving the summer stores alone, and they still make sales, so I am bewildered for sure. No other year has been like this one. So, will they buy their skis and snowboards in June or what?
Niche product stores have been a winner for me over the past 3 years. I love making them and tweaking them, and they get in search effectively. I want to be helpful for newer affiliates by telling them that programs that promise money on auto pilot are usually not a good way to go. Affiliates have to produce good quality content that produces consistant sales or their efforts and expenditures may be wasted.
Even if the auto income programs they buy can work in theory, they will not produce money in the short term. Lots of backup content needs to be produced for them, while simple product sales are more effective in the short term. I see a lot of junk being offered by people on Twitter all the time, but not much content going with that stuff. Marketers often take advantage of new affiliates on the internet that way, selling stuff that only makes money for the marketer and not the user.
I talk a lot about my methods of making money on my Make Money Online page, but I suspect many go there and scan somewhat, but because there is so much text and such a learning curve, I am certain only a few make it to the meat in the article there. Still, I recommend new affiliates read that page for some good ideas and procedures. I don't write stuff there just for the fun of it. It is real.
I have also posted some great informative articles in this blog that other marketers would never publish, revealing some specifics of my successful methods. I wonder if I should try to make an ebook to describe it all, and charge a small amount for it in order to actually reach new affiliates with a short attention span. Not sure but might do it.
My core pages are really producing good income on cpa deals right now. I love these deals that fit right in with my content. I rarely do cpa offers, but when I find one or get introduced to one that is long term, I can make it work for me. Generally cpa deals work with ppc, which I don't do at all. Organic content is the model for me. It works!
